Skid-mounted Filtration Systems

Skid-mounted filtration systems offer a ‘plug and play’ life support filtration arrangement that arrives pre-plumbed and ready to install for live exhibits, aquaculture systems, or koi ponds. Aquatic Equipment & Design offers mechanical filter options with either activated filter media (AFM) for coldwater systems or floating beads for warm water systems.

The skid-mounted pressurized filter is the latest in filament wound fiberglass technology and is constructed from anti-corrosive, non-toxic materials engineered to withstand the high flow and pressures of live animal holding systems. The side mount multi-port valve and top mounted clear lid allow convenient operation and easy maintenance.

Skid options include either a single speed or variable speed pump, for energy efficient operation and user-specified flow rate, compatible with either freshwater or saltwater environments and suitable for self-priming or flooded-suction applications. Plumbing comes complete with Asahi true union ball valves at all connections for future maintenance including a bypass around the UV light. The UV light can be sized to inactivate many types of known bacteria, viruses, and parasites harmful to your specific aquatic species.
